A project to restore the former ruined resort, located on the navigable route of a large Masurian lake, to its former glory.
We designed a complex of 52 summer houses, each featuring lightweight, prefabricated structures with wooden facades reflecting the forest surroundings.
Large balcony windows on the terraces and tall, rectangular glazing in which the cottages are located, create a sense of communion with nature. The effect of advanced, modern architecture is achieved by using contrasting wood and light-colored boards in the interiors.
The buildings are arranged along three shorelines – from those directly adjacent to the lake to those located deeper in the forest. All are accessible via a living room with a fully equipped kitchenette, a double bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower. Each has a terrace and a mezzanine with sleeping accommodations.
